About Woodpost Inc.

Documentary and trailer editing focused on clarity, structure, and story.
No excess. No noise. Just the cut that works.

Woodpost Inc. is my editorial practice.  I am a documentary and trailer editor with decades of post-production experience, working directly with filmmakers and producers to deliver focused, intentional edits.

My name is Zach Woodford.

My path into storytelling began in 1986 at my parents’ video store on California’s Central Coast. In 1996, I began my career as a post-production assistant at Paramount Pictures.  I went on to coordinate visual effects on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and serve as an assistant editor on series including Hell on Wheels and Law & Order, developing the instincts and discipline that continue to shape my work.

Over the years, I have edited across a wide range of formats, including documentaries, promos, reality and scripted television, music videos, game shows, talk shows, and children’s programming. Highlights include cutting over a thousand on-air promos for CBS Media Ventures’ The Doctors, along with work for networks and platforms such as NBC, ABC, CBS, MTV, AMC, Lifetime, OWN, Disney, and Google.

Most recently, I edited the four-part documentary series Jeffrey Jackson Investigates for Informed Consent Action Network, shaping interview-driven episodes and archival material into cohesive edits, along with supporting trailer and promotional cuts.

Today, my work centers on documentary, trailer editing and sizzle reels—projects that benefit from a detail-driven approach and direct collaboration.  I focus on helping filmmakers move through the edit efficiently while keeping the material clear, grounded, and intentional.

My guiding principle is simple: I work for the edit. The goal is always to tell the story as clearly, fully, and honestly as possible.
